Description
The pinto bean is quite large in size, rounded in shape and pinkish in color with maroon spots.
Widely used in typical northern stews, such as Galician broth, when cooked it does not fall apart, its skin is smooth and soft, it gives the broth a dark, creamy color and a strong flavor.
It is grown in the lands of La Bañeza in León.
