Description
The pardina lentil is small in diameter (between 3.5 and 4.5 mm) and has a very characteristic brown color, a softer skin than other varieties, a more consistent texture so it does not fall apart when cooked, and a very fine flavor on the palate.
Its great richness in protein and its high fiber content make it an excellent dish to maintain a balanced diet.
They are grown in the León region of Los Oteros and in the neighboring provinces of Palencia, Valladolid and Zamora, lands of hilly plains, “Tierra de Campos”.
