Description
Cabbage has in its heart one of the foods with the highest percentages of vitamins and minerals used since time immemorial. It is a vegetable with fleshy, rounded leaves, with greenish tones and very pronounced veins. In the upper area of the cabbage, the bud or head is formed, with a rounded or heart-shaped appearance, although there are different varieties of cabbages that do not have it.
They have a fibrous texture that softens with cooking, as well as a pleasant flavor.
Cabbages have a large percentage of water in their composition, with little caloric content and a high fiber and carbohydrates index.
Among the vitamins that can be found in this species, those of groups C, A, and B stand out (specifically B9 or folates, E and K). It also has minerals such as potassium, sulfur, phosphorus, calcium, iron and magnesium.
